Ah, blatant video game references… So much fun. Sorry, spiny-speedy-blue guy! Your next game better be decent, or I’ll pick on you worse!! Hey, if Uber-Dood’s reference can make a comback going old-school, so can you, right?
*crickets*
Next time on 3LG – Green becomes St’ink! You know, from that game: The Myth of Belda!
Yes, I took a jab at you “War of Worldcraft” players out there. If the terms for leaving a game are that you complete it and win, then these guys have a better chance of leaving this game.
At least, they think so.
The story has officially begun, so enjoy!
I keep ending up late with the comics. This time, it was a mix between being busy with life and my poor MacBook Pro’s hard drive dying out. Apple wanted $180 (without labor) to give me another old 160GB hard drive. A repair guy wanted $250 for labor and a 320GB hard drive.
I bought a TORX, Phillips, etc tiny screwdriver set and a 320 GB drive for under $100, and replaced it during a lunch break at my office. Where’s my easy button?

But, at least the plot of this storyline is starting to show… and now the fun parts begin! More on that for the next comic.
I decided to change things up a bit. When I draw out the comics, I tend to scan my pencil sketches in and then retrace it out on the computer. However, I lose a lot of my original art style doing it that way. So, this time I’ve inked out the lines on paper, then colored in the comic on my Mac. I like how it ended up – how about you?
If anyone noticed I was late on my comic, raise your hand!
…didn’t think so.
Expect to see more “Everyday Comics” as I decide to make them, as well as a weekly (or as often as I can) storyline comic (like this one).
Did anyone else play the “DuoCast” like I did?
Happy New Year!!
2009 is out the door, and we are into an awesome new year. With that, this is not only the first comic of the new year, but the first 3LG product of the new decade. Also, I’ve been rediscovering my artistic side, going into old styles (sketching, drawing) and new directions (painting, sculpting).
I’m most excited about the sculpting, mainly because it’s leading the way for figure construction and painting. Did someone say “3LG toys”? ;D
It may be 10:35pm, but it’s still Sunday! Long day, mostly enjoying the heavy amount of snow we received last night, but it’s done. I need to start drawing these things in advance, otherwise I’ll be doing these last-minute Sunday updates… it’s like school all over again!
I now have a FeedBurner link on the top of every page, so if you want to receive an email when the site has a new comic, just drop in your email address and subscribe. There’s already a small handful of people who signed up, so join in with us!
Still getting the new design… well, designed. Hopefully after the holiday week, I’ll be able to change the style of the site some. I think focusing on the content is more important than the design right now, though.
Second comic – another milestone!!
Actually, there are a few milestones. First, this comic has gone international!! By that, I mean the site had a visitor from Canada view the site… but that’s still international! (Thank you, Google Analytics!)
Second, this particular comic is almost 3 years old in concept. I first thought of the idea of the guys and Pink standing on each other to get their Z-Sphere 3 back in early 2007. Originally, they would be in a non-gaming store picking it out, then to be followed by them checking out of the store. However, since the first comic had them going into a Gameflop store, I had to change that idea. The original joke, when I was going to make this animated, was going to be the reveal of them standing on each other. Since this doesn’t translate as well for the comic format, I made the joke be the falling of their “tower”.

This is the original design concept of the idea… I drew this for my Jessica Ann, and it’s been hanging in her room since (except for when we scanned it in today).
Site updates – still working on a good layout design… hopefully this week? Also, I’ll add in a FeedBurner subscription, so you can be notified by email when the site’s been updated.
Until next week – enjoy!

I can’t believe I’m finally getting this online; the first 3 Little Guys comic!
I found that I can be more creative (and quicker with getting a finished product online) with a comic than a cartoon. Although, this won’t stop me from making an animated short from time-to-time… just not anytime soon. For now, my fabulous artwork!!
OK, maybe it’s not fabulous, but I’m happy with the results.
This first comic will be following a storyline I have been working on for some time. It’s not in a script or anything, but the basic ideas and plot will be contained, even though the rest will be created as I go along. All comics following this storyline will be labeled in the category, “Z-Sphere 3″.
There will also be comics I’ll do that do not fit in this category, and will be labeled as part of the “Everyday Comics” category.
Simple enough, right?
So, welcome, enjoy the lack of a site design and content (for now), and I hope you enjoy what is the beginning of a new chapter in the 3 Little Guys history on the interwebs!
